Sitka Chamber Initiatives
The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors selected the following priority initiatives and goals to guide programing and staff activities for 2024. Each initiative speaks to a need that our members have shared with us relating to their workforce.

Goal: Convene community leaders to address workforce housing needs, participate in the Sitka Housing Network, and collaborate with SEDA to explore high-density housing development opportunities and challenges in Sitka.
Goal: Work towards improving access to childcare for Sitka’s workforce through participating in broader efforts to understand childcare capacity, and hosting a 6-week Speaker Series on related topics for stakeholders and the community.
Goal: Develop the community’s workforce by engaging young professionals through a monthly Sitka’s Emerging Leaders program and host an Emerging Leaders Summit focused on professional development.
